Celebrating the Creative Spirit promises to be wonderful! You will be treated to gourmet meals by chef Sarah Lydick; tucked in under cozy quilts in the shabby chic suites of the Sandscrest Victorian mansion; and treated to a massage by Sister Christine. All this and the solace of making your own art.
Marilyn and Cheryl Ryan Harshman have just concluded a week's retreat at Sandscrest to rave reviews. So important to the participants was this week, that we have agreed to meet again in October. Marilyn works with each artist individually to help them find their own inner voice, and she pushes them to try new things and go beyond their usual comfort level. Cheryl demonstrates clay monoprinting, a technique that is fun, easy, intuitive and successful for first timers. The combination of intense painting and playful clayprinting has allowed artists to break through painting roadblocks and reach higher levels in their work.
Spaces are limited to ensure private work with the instructors. To hold your place a non-refundable $100 deposit will be required. Payment in full is due October 15, 2009.
